Admissions
When can I apply for admission?
Applications are accepted throughout the year. However, the main admission period is from August to October for the following academic year. Students are encouraged to apply early as places are limited.
What are the entry requirements for admission?
For Primary: Good performance in previous school examinations and interview. For Secondary: Successful completion of Primary level with strong academic credentials. All students undergo an entrance assessment and interview.
What documents do I need to submit?
Required documents include: Birth certificate, previous school report cards, medical records, immunization certificates, and parent/guardian identification. Please contact admissions office for the complete checklist.
Is there a scholarship program available?
Yes, we offer merit-based scholarships for academically exceptional students and need-based assistance for deserving families. Contact our admissions office for eligibility criteria and application procedures.
Academics
What curriculum does the school follow?
We follow the Rwanda National Curriculum (REB standards) for Primary and Secondary. We also integrate international best practices and prepare students for O-Levels and A-Levels examinations with Cambridge curriculum options.
What are the academic streams offered?
Secondary students can choose from: Science Stream (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics), Arts Stream (Literature, History, Geography, Languages), and Business Stream (Economics, Entrepreneurship, Business Studies).
What is the teacher-to-student ratio?
We maintain a favorable teacher-to-student ratio of approximately 1:15 in most classes, ensuring personalized attention and effective teaching. This allows for better academic support and student engagement.
Are there extra-curricular activities?
Yes, we offer numerous clubs including Debate Club, Science Club, Mathematics Club, Drama, Music, Sports, Environmental Club, and more. These activities develop leadership, teamwork, and confidence.
Fees & Payments
How much does tuition cost?
Tuition fees vary by level: Primary RWF 450,000/term, Secondary RWF 600,000/term. Please visit our Fees page for detailed breakdown including accommodation, meals, and other charges.
Are there payment plans available?
Yes, we offer flexible payment options including termly payments, semester payments, and annual payments. Special arrangements can be made for families with financial constraints. Contact our finance office for details.
When are school fees due?
Fees must be paid before the start of each term. The school calendar provides specific dates for each term. Late payment may result in student exclusion from classes.
What is included in the boarding fees?
Boarding fees include accommodation, meals (breakfast, lunch, supper), laundry service, and basic supplies. Some items like personal toiletries and school uniforms are purchased separately.
Facilities
What facilities are available at the school?
We have modern Science Laboratories, Computer Lab, Library, Smart Classrooms, Sports facilities (football field, volleyball court, basketball court), Dining Hall, and Dormitories. All facilities are well-maintained and regularly updated.
Are there computer facilities for student use?
Yes, we have a well-equipped Computer Lab with 30+ computers with high-speed internet. Students have access during allocated times for studies and IT classes. Internet is also available in the library.
Is there a library? What resources are available?
We have a comprehensive library with 5,000+ books, computers with internet access, reference materials, and digital resources. Librarians assist students with research and resource location.
Boarding & Accommodation
Is boarding mandatory?
No, boarding is optional. Students can choose to board or be day students. Both options receive the same quality education and have access to all school facilities.
What is the dormitory condition?
Dormitories are comfortable, safe, and well-supervised. Students typically share rooms with 3-4 peers. Each dormitory has matrons/supervisors available 24/7. Rooms are regularly inspected for cleanliness and maintenance.
What are visiting hours for boarding students?
Visitors are welcome on weekends from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Special visits can be arranged outside these hours by prior permission from the administration. Students can make phone calls during allocated times.
What about meals and dietary requirements?
Our dining hall provides balanced, nutritious meals three times daily. Special dietary requirements (vegetarian, allergies, religious preferences) can be accommodated. Inform the administration at enrollment.
