Program Overview
The Ordinary Level (O Level) program at Rusumo High School spans three years (Senior 1 to Senior 3) and provides students with a comprehensive, well-rounded education based on the Rwanda Education Board (REB) curriculum framework.
Our O Level program is designed to:
- Build strong academic foundations across all subject areas
- Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Foster character development and discipline
- Prepare students for Advanced Level studies (A Level)
- Cultivate practical skills and creativity
- Promote active participation in school activities

Progression to Advanced Level
Upon successful completion of the O Level program (S3), students may progress to our Advanced Level (A Level) program if they meet the academic requirements and wish to continue their studies with us.
At A Level, students can choose from four specialized S4 streams:
- MS1 - Maths and Sciences One
- MS2 - Maths and Sciences Two
- ARH - Art and Humanities
- LGG - Languages
Followed by further specialization in S5-S6 with seven combinations:
- PCM, MPG, MEG, PCB, HGL, LFK, MCB
